Thank you for making the 2013 (Em)Power Breakfast such a success!

On October 10, more than 600 guests joined us in taking a stand for girls' education. We applauded the more than 2,000 girls served by The Young Women's Leadership Schools (TYWLS) this year and recognized the 32 million girls worldwide who are denied educational access.

The 2013 (Em)Power Breakfast celebrated the worldwide movement for girls' education. We are grateful to this year's honorees for their leadership and generosity and for exemplifying the drive and tenacity we cultivate in every TYWLS girl:

  • Tory BurchCEO of Tory Burch LLC and Founder of the Tory Burch Foundation
  • Abigail DisneyFilmmaker and Philanthropist
  • “The Man We Love” Jordan RothPresident of Jujamcyn Theaters

They joined a group of distinguished past honorees and supporters of YWLN’s (Em)Power Breakfast.

We also celebrated and honored Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl, education activist, and survivor of an assassination attempt by the Taliban, who inspired all guests with her message of resilience, hope, and strength.
