Thank you for making the 3rd Annual CBI Celebration a great success!
On May 2, 2013 Young Women’s Leadership Network (YWLN) held our 3rd annual CollegeBound Initiative (CBI) Celebration. We were so grateful to the three honorees:
- The Bezos Family Foundation, accepted by President Jackie Bezos, for helping youth put education into action;
- Mr. Bayo Ogunlesi, Chairman and Managing Partner of Global Infrastructure Partners, for his personal commitment to education;
- Skidmore College, for their commitment to educational access for underrepresented students. Accepted by Mary Lou Bates, Dean of Admissions & Financial Aid.
Thank you to the honorees, event co-chairs, and many supporters who helped to raise funds in support of college access and success for low-income students! For a full list of event donors, please click here.
Please check back soon for photos from this year's event. Featured above are honoree Bayo Ogunlesi, event co-chairs Jennifer Powers and Jonathan Bram, and proud CBI students.
Since 2001, CBI has helped nearly 5,000 low-income students achieve their college dream and has generated nearly $70 million in scholarships and financial aid. CBI graduates attain four-year college degrees at more than double the rate of their peers.
